Tendencias SS 2019 / SS 2019 Trends

Se va acabando el invierno y con la llegada del buen tiempo comienzan a materializarse en tiendas las prendas y tendencias que llevaremos esta temporada de primavera/verano. Algunas ya las conocemos porque vienen de lejos, otras se intuyen y dependerá de nosotras que inunden las calles.  Sea como sea, en este post vamos a repasar las que me parecen más llamativas y algunas de mis favoritas. Empezamos ;)

Winter is ending and, with the arrival of the spring we start to pay attention to the new clothing and trends that we will wear next season. Some of them are already known and came from other seasons, other ones are just a feeling and it depends on us if they go far or not.  Nonetheless, in this post we will review some of them that I found more remarkable and some of my favorites. Let's start!

Colores

Beige y tonos neutros
Beige and neutral tones 

Protagonista indiscutible (por lo menos por ahora) del street style y de gran parte de las prendas fetiche para esta temporada. Estos tonos neutros nos permiten infinitas combinaciones de color: con blanco, negro, colores más chillones o pastel... pero mi favorita sin duda es en total look (me pido un traje beige para esta primavera ;)

Is the main character this season (at least for now) and we have watch it so much on the streetstyle during fashion weeks. Neutral tones have infinite color combinations: with white, black, neon or pastel colors...but my favourite without any doubt is in total look (I need a beige suit for this spring!)

Ya os hablé de estos tonos en el post de las tendencias de otoño/invierno pero parece que no llegó a cuajar. Ya sea porque son colores que nos apetecen más con el buen tiempo o porque teníamos que hacer el ojo y comenzar a utilizarlos en pequeñas dosis, esta primavera los tonos flúor conquistan las tiendas y, probablemente, nuestros armarios.

I already write about this colors in the last post about fall/winter trends but it seems that it haven't jelled until now. Either because this tones are more appealing with warm weather or because we have to get used to them, this spring neon tones conquer shops and, probably, our wardrobes.

Animal print

¿Cansadas del animal print? Pues preparaos porque parece que esto no acaba, seguimos viendo prendas con estampado de serpiente o leopardo pero añadimos el estampado de vaca a la ecuación, ¿quién se anima?

Are you tired of animal print? Well, prepare yourself because it won't die, we will still watch snake and leopard print in shops and we will add cow print to this equation, who dares?

Tye-dye
Tye-dye

Y con un aire mucho más hippie en la línea del regreso a los años 90 (recuerdo hacer nudos en camisetas y meterlas en un barreño con tinte cuando iba al cole) nos encontramos con el estampado tye-dye. El típico "desteñido" que bien llevado nos puede dar muchas alegrías. Personalmente no es mi favorito pero no descarto que acabe cayendo con algo.

And with a big hippie vibe in the 90's flashback style (I still remember making knots on T-shirts and put them in a washbowl with dye when I was in the school) we found the tye-dye print. The typical faded effect that could work very well. It's not my favorite but I don't discard them.

Lunares

¿Os suenan verdad? Parece que, además de las flores que son tendencia cada primavera, los lunares se convierten en el estampado fetiche del buen tiempo. Camisas, vestidos, faldas...y en general prendas con un aire bastante 50's. Reconozco que soy una enamorada de ellos y lo quiero todo.

Isn't new, right? It seems that, appart from flowers, polka dots have become the good weather fetish print. Shirts, dresses, skirts...with a very 50's air this season. I'm in love with this print and I want it all.

Mallas ciclistas
Bike shorts

He intentado resistirme a incluirlas aquí porque me parecen un horror (lo siento por las que os gustan) pero las mallas ciclistas, que ya veíamos desde el año pasado, están más vivas que nunca y las tiendas vuelven a la carga con nuevos modelos. Creo que es un corte que favorece a muy pocas (aunque reconozco que he visto algunas muy bien llevadas) pero si os atrevéis con ellas no tendréis problemas para encontrarlas en tienda. La combinación clave: con maxi blazer.

I've been trying to avoid this trend because for me it's horrible (sorry for those who like them) but bike shorts, that we've been seen since last spring, are more alive than ever and shops start the season with new models. I think this cut suits few people but if you dare, you won't have problems to find them in shops. The perfect combo: with maxi blazers.

Puffed sleeves

Más que prenda en sí es un estilo que podremos encontrar en camisas, tops o vestidos. Las mangas se elevan a su máximo exponente. Aunque no siempre me resultan favorecedoras en algunas ocasiones y dependiendo del corte de la prenda pueden dar ese toque de estilo al outfit. Encontramos modelos para las más atrevidas pero también volúmenes asequibles para las que se inician en el tema, la decisión es vuestra ;)

This is not a garment but a style of sleeves that we will see on shirts, tops or dresses. Sleeves rise to their maximum exponent. Although they're not for everybody (volume isn't  always our friend) I think they could give a touch of style to our outfits. We found some excessive sleeves for the daring ones and also light volumes for the beginners, the decision is yours ;)

Chalecos
Vests

Aunque no en todas las tiendas apuestan por ellos (por ahora) parece que Zara y Mango apuestan por una tendencia que puede que se extienda por el resto de las tiendas. Ya sean chalecos cortos o largos, de punto, de lino, tipo jersey o americana...hay bastante variedad aunque los colores están todos en la misma gama (al menos por ahora). Me parece una prenda interesante para el entretiempo que le puede dar un toque de estilo a un look bastante básico. ¿Os animáis?

We couldn't find them in every shop but Mango and Zara bet for them so maybe this clothing could be extended to other brands. They could be short or long, knitted or linen made, sweater or blazer style...there are so much options although colors are more or less the same (at least by now). I think it's an interesting clothing for the change of season that could give a special touch to simple looks, are you in?

Igual esto es obsesión mía (llevo tiempo con ganas de llevarlos) pero últimamente no paro de ver este tipo de prenda en todas las tiendas (sobre todo en Zara). Ya sea de manga larga o corta, de crochet o punto... los polos vuelven para dar un toque 'preppy' a nuestros looks.

This could be my own obsession (I really want one) but I've been seeing this kind of shirts in shops lately (especially in Zara). They could have long or short sleeves, could be knitted or crochet...polo shirts come back to give a 'preppy' touch to our outfits.

Satin clothing

Adoro este tipo de tejido tan suave y con ese toque especial de brillo. Muy apto para la primavera y muy relacionado con vestidos y prendas de tipo lencero (que también parece que conquistarán territorio). Lo encontramos sobre todo en camisas, tops y vestidos.

I really love this fabric, it has a soft touch and a special bright that I found so attractive. It's a good fabric for spring, always related to draper style dresses and tops (that will be probably seeing a lot this season). We will found this fabric mostly in shirts, tops and dresses.

Un tejido perfecto para el verano. Las tiendas han comenzado a inundarse con tops, jerseys, blusas y vestidos calados, ideales para el calor. Las blusas y vestidos blancos son mi debilidad pero también encontramos prendas en tonos más suaves o llamativos perfectas para darle un toque de color a nuestros looks.


The perfect summer fabric. Shops start to be flooded by tops, sweaters and shirts in knit lace fabrics. White shirts and dresses are my weakness but we could also find clothes in pastel or bright colors.

Sandalias de tiras
Strap sandals

Volvemos a los 90 y a las típicas sandalias básicas de tiras. Un calzado sencillo con un poder estilístico bastante fuerte, sobre todo cuando se lleva con prendas que contrasten como jeans anchos o jerséis. También es el calzado perfecto para la temporada de BBC's que comienza en breves, tenéis mucho donde elegir ;)

We go back to the 90's and the typical basic strap sandals. Simple sandals with a strong stylistic power, especially when we wear them with clothes like extra wide jeans or knitted jumpers. It's also the perfect footwear for all the events that we used to have in spring and summer, you have a wide range to choose ;)

Horquillas y pasadores
Hairclips

Ya sean pasadores de carey (como el de Gucci), perlas o mensajes brillantes, las horquillas y pasadores dominan Pinterest e Instagram (aunque no tanto las tiendas). Zara lanzó un pack que se agotó en seguida y no me extrañaría que fueran sacando más. Es un accesorio sencillo y muy resultón, que da un toque femenino y sofisticado a cualquier look. En Asos podéis encontrar una gran cantidad de ellas pero si no estáis seguras del uso que le vais a dar os aconsejo mirar en Aliexpress (tienen mucha variedad y bastante más baratas).

Either in carey (like Gucci one), with pearls or bright messages, hairclips have conquered Instagram and Pinterest (but we still couldn't find so much models in shops). Zara launched a pack that was sold out right away and it wouldn't be strange if they launch another one. It's a simple accessory but vey attractive and gives a feminine and sophisticated touch to every outfit. You can find lots of them in Asos but if you're not sure about how much will you wear them, I advise you to look in Aliexpress (they have lots of them and considerably cheaper).

Bolsos crochet
Crochet bag


Además de la vuelta a los bolsos de rafia (bendito verano) el calor nos trae otro tejido un poco abuelil que se reinventa en forma de bolso. Las que sepáis tejer podéis intentar hacerlo en casa pero para las torpes como yo, en tienda podemos encontrar una gran variedad de ellos y todos ideales. En tonos naturales o con un toque de color, los bolsos de crochet pueden convertirse en dignos sucesores de las cestas de rafia, ¿no creéis?

Apart from raffia bags (blessed summer) warm weather arrives with another old fabric reinvented in bags: crochet. Those who know how to knit could try at home but for the clumsy people like me, we could find lots of them in shops. In neutral tones or with a touch of color, crochet bag could be the worthy successor of raffia basket, don't you think?
